SALINI MAGAZINE - WE BUILD VALUE

More than 1,500 New Panamax cargo ships have sailed through Panama’s new canal in its first year of operation, which is being celebrated on June 26. This unique public work has produced some promising results, managing to receive six to seven ships a day. During the first 10 months since the canal’s opening, the Panama Canal Authority was able to contribute $525 million to the state’s coffers. Such is the success of a project built in seven years by an international consortium led by Salini Impregilo.
