ASCE calls for $2 trillion in public and private spending to bridge a 10-year investment gap. The American Society of Civil Engineers has come out with a critical report card on the state of the country’s infrastructure, saying it is so poor that it deserves nothing more than a D+. It warns that failure to act would have serious consequences, such as $3.9 trillion worth of losses to the country’s economy by 2025.
