SALINI MAGAZINE - WE BUILD VALUELIKE US ON FACEBOOK

Fifty-six construction sites dotting the city; 1,500 people at work; but above all a timetable calling for the first section to open in January 2021 and the rest of the route by July 2023. Milan is building the M4, the new metro line that will connect the western outskirts with Linate airport in the eastern suburb of Segrate. And the airport will be the star of this infrastructure project because the driverless trains, capable of carrying 86 million people a year, will take just 15 minutes to reach the city centre from the airport. Milan will thus become even closer to the rest of Europe. And its new metro line (built by a consortium led by Salini Impregilo) will help change Italy’s business capital into a city built around a sustainable, efficient, integrated and modern mobility system.
