A recently awarded project to build a light rail transit line on the outskirts of Toronto is the latest effort by the Canadian province of Ontario to alleviate the problems faced by millions of commuters in the biggest urban area in the country. The Hurontario line will run for 18 kilometres between the municipalities of Mississauga and Brampton, located west of downtown Toronto.
