Al Bayt: Qatar’s “mobile” stadium

The new soccer temple is called Al Bayt. Located near Doha, it is an extraordinary mix of tradition and innovation. Built by Webuild, it was chosen by Qatar and Fifa as the opening stadium of the 2022 World Cup, among the eight brand new complexes built for the World Cup.

Tradition: just like a nomadic tent, it can be dismantled so that part of it can be converted into hotels and shops or to donated to countries that need sports facilities. Innovation: the right climate for players and audiences is guaranteed by special polymers and state-of-the-art ventilation technologies.
